Mr. Vuyani Xitsavi

Mr. Vuyani Xitsavi is a committed High School Principal and Educator with a passion for academic excellence and holistic student development. With extensive experience in education leadership, He works to cultivate a safe, engaging, and achievement-driven school environment. He believe in collaborative leadership, lifelong learning, and empowering both students and educators to thrive.
Dr. Tshikani Theodore Nkanyani-Boshomane
Clinical Psychologist | Head of Clinical Psychology, Dr C.N. Phatudi Hospital|Deputy Chair Person for the Foundation
Dr. Tshikani Theodore Nkanyani-Boshomane hails from Tiyani Village under the Nkanyani Traditional Council. Her academic journey began at Vungela Primary School (1984–1990), followed by her high school education at Akani High School (1991–1995).
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the North (1997–1999), a BA Honours in Psychology from the University of Limpopo (2001), and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology (2003). In 2004, she completed her internship at the Polokwane/Mankweng Tertiary Hospital Complex.
Dr. Nkanyani-Boshomane began her career in 2006 as a Community Service Clinical Psychologist at Dr C.N. Phatudi Hospital, where she has since been appointed as the Head of the Clinical Psychology section. She currently supervises Registered Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Clinical Psychologists, while also running her own private practice.
She earned her PhD in Behavioural Medicine/Clinical Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her doctoral research, titled "Testing deficiencies in behavioural planning, set-shifting, and working memory in children with high levels of ADHD", has been published in multiple academic journals, including three national publications and one international journal (Journal of Child and Adolescent Mental Health).
Dr. Nkanyani-Boshomane is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). She is also a qualified Medico-Legal practitioner. Her areas of interest include grief counselling for children and adults, trauma therapy, couples therapy, and medico-legal assessments.

Calvin Chabalala is the visionary Founder and Secretary General of the Akani Reunion Foundation. He holds a National Diploma in Public Administration from the University of Venda and is currently furthering his studies in Project Management.
With over 17 years of experience in the logistics and transportation industry, Calvin serves at Denver Grindrod Logistics in Johannesburg, in collaboration with the Maersk Group. His professional expertise is matched by his unwavering dedication to community upliftment.
As a proud alumnus of Akani High School, Calvin is passionate about giving back. He leads the Foundation with a focus on academic excellence, youth mentorship, and strategic partnerships that empower and inspire the next generation.
