This vibrant celebration brought together community leaders, educators, students, and families in a meaningful tribute to academic excellence, culture, and community pride.

On 23 December 2024, the Akani Reunion Foundation hosted a heartwarming Food Parcels Handout Event at our former school, in partnership with Akani High School. Thanks to the generosity of our dedicated donors, we were able to deliver Christmas food parcels to 14 vulnerable students, helping to brighten their festive season.

We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of our online voting process held on 8 March 2025, which resulted in the election of six exceptional individuals to join the Akani Reunion Foundation Executive Committee.

These newly elected leaders will serve alongside our existing Top Five Executive Members, forming a dynamic 11-member Executive Team that will lead and guide the foundation over the next three years.

This milestone demonstrates our commitment to democratic participation, transparency, and inclusive leadership. The newly elected members bring with them a wealth of knowledge and expertise across various fields, strengthening our collective ability to empower and uplift students through education.

🔹 Meet Our Newly Elected Executive Committee Members:

1️⃣ Bejani Khosa – Educator & Community Leader (28 Votes)
A seasoned educator and respected public servant. He holds leadership positions including Deputy Chairperson of the Tiyani ANC Branch, Secretary General of the Tiyani Assembly Church, and SANCO member. His vast experience will help shape our strategic direction.

2️⃣ #Bella Ngobeni Baloyi – Educator & Community Development Advocate (22 Votes)
A dedicated teacher and passionate community builder. Her work focuses on youth empowerment through education, and she brings a powerful voice for grassroots involvement in academic progress.

3️⃣ #Tinyiko Lisbeth Baloyi – Attorney & Founder of Tinyiko Baloyi Attorneys (21 Votes)
A practicing lawyer and entrepreneur, she leads her own legal firm. Her professional insight will strengthen our governance, compliance, and advocacy work, especially concerning student rights.

4️⃣ Tinyiko Tinny Mohole – Nurse & Healthcare Professional (19 Votes)
An experienced nurse with deep knowledge in public health and wellness. Her role will be pivotal in supporting student mental and physical well-being through health education and awareness programs.

5️⃣ Philemon Ngobeni – Security Specialist (18 Votes)
With over 20 years of experience in the security industry, Philemon brings critical knowledge on safety and protection. His guidance will ensure our organizational and event security measures remain robust.

6️⃣ Kuhlula Ndhima – Attorney, Entrepreneur & Farmer (16 Votes)
A multi-skilled professional combining legal knowledge, business acumen, and agricultural expertise. Her input will be vital for expanding our foundation’s sustainability and innovation capacity.

1. Mr. Vuyani Xitsavi – Chairperson
An experienced educator and high school principal, Mr. Xitsavi brings a deep understanding of the education sector. With a passion for student development, he has consistently championed the academic success of learners under his leadership.

2. Dr. Tshikani Nkanyani Boshomane – Deputy Chairperson
A clinical psychologist and medical doctor, Dr. Boshomane is deeply committed to the mental well-being and resilience of students. Her expertise ensures a strong focus on motivation, mental health, and overall student welfare.

3. Mr. Calvin Chabalala – Secretary General
